  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 potatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season the beef with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned.
  4. Add onions and garlic; sauté until soft.
  5. Add carrots and potatoes to the pan.
  6. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Bring to a simmer, then cover and transfer to the oven.
  8. Braise for 3 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.
  9. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
