- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
