  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Slice the Italian bread into vertical and horizontal sections, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  4. Gently spread the garlic butter mixture in between the slices.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top and between the slices.
  6. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to crisp the top.
