- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3 medium-sized apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixer, combine the flour and sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
