  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 cups icing or frosting
  • 12 candy eyeballs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add in softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Gradually incorporate buttermilk until the batter is well combined.
  5. Distribute the batter evenly into the lined muffin tin, filling each liner about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cupcakes cool completely.
  8. Frost the cooled cupcakes with icing and place a candy eyeball on each cupcake.
