Hamburger Potato Casserole

A hearty and comforting Hamburger Potato Casserole that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 cups cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onions over medium heat.
  3. Drain excess fat and mix in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the potatoes at the bottom of a greased casserole dish.
  5. Add half of the meat mixture and then half of the soup.
  6. Sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  7. Add another layer of potatoes, followed by meat, soup, and cheese.
  8. Bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add some red pepper flakes to the beef mix.
  • This dish can be prepared a day in advance and reheated.
