- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 2 cups cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onions over medium heat.
- Drain excess fat and mix in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the potatoes at the bottom of a greased casserole dish.
- Add half of the meat mixture and then half of the soup.
- Sprinkle with half of the cheese.
- Add another layer of potatoes, followed by meat, soup, and cheese.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are tender.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add some red pepper flakes to the beef mix.
- This dish can be prepared a day in advance and reheated.
