Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks

A delicious and easy recipe for making ground beef Philly cheesesteaks at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and green bell peppers and sauté until softened.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
  3. Place the provolone cheese slices on top of the beef and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  4. Once the cheese is melted, scoop the mixture into hoagie rolls.
  5. Serve immediately with your choice of toppings.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms.
  • Serve with pickles or jalapeños for a spicy kick.
