- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup warm water
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add olive oil, flour, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into small pieces, rolling each into a knot shape.
- Place knots on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
