French Onion Ground Beef and Rice Casserole

A delicious and easy comfort dish featuring ground beef, rice, and French onion flavors.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Drain excess fat from the beef.
  4. Add rice, beef broth, French onion soup, and spices to the skillet.
  5. Mix well and bring to a boil.
  6. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven, uncover, and sprinkle cheese on top.
  9. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use beef broth instead of water.
  • Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
