Delicious Pappadeaux Mardi Gras Pasta

A flavorful and festive pasta dish inspired by Pappadeaux’s Mardi Gras celebration, combining savory turkey bacon and chicken ham.

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil, onion, and garlic; sauté until onion is translucent.
  4. Add chicken ham and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Cajun seasoning; mix well.
  6. Add the cooked penne pasta and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and the crispy turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more Cajun seasoning.
  • Feel free to use other types of pasta if desired.
