Crème Brûlée French Toast

A delicious and decadent breakfast dish that combines the classic flavors of crème brûlée with fluffy French toast, topped with crispy turkey bacon.

  • 6 slices thick bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Soak bread slices in the mixture for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook bread slices until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. While the bread cooks, in another skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy.
  5. Plate the French toast and top with crispy turkey bacon.
  6. Sprinkle with brown sugar and caramelize using a kitchen torch if desired.

Notes

  • For a sweeter version, add powdered sugar on top.
  • Serve with fresh fruit for added flavor.
