Creamy German Goulash

  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 2 large onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the beef stew meat and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the paprika and cook for a minute.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  6. Cover and cook for about 1.5 hours until the meat is tender.
  7. Stir in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce, and mix well.
  8. Return the turkey bacon to the pot, season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, let it simmer uncovered for the last 30 minutes.
  • Serve with noodles or bread for a complete meal.
