  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup candy corn for decorating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
  6. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cupcakes cool before frosting.
  9. Once cooled, frost with your favorite frosting and decorate with candy corn.

Notes

  • Make sure to allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting to prevent melting.
  • For a fun twist, try adding some chocolate chips to the batter.
