Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
  3. Add bell peppers and broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add ginger, garlic, and soy sauce, then return beef to the skillet.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cornstarch with a little water, then add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  6. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then drizzle with sesame oil before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or snap peas.
