Apple Cider Pork

Deliciously tender pork roast infused with apple cider and wrapped in savory turkey bacon.

  • 3 pounds pork roast
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the pork roast with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté chopped onion and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add apple cider and bring to a simmer.
  5. Wrap the pork roast with turkey bacon and place in a baking dish.
  6. Pour the apple cider mixture over the wrapped roast.
  7. Bake in the oven for 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For added flavor, let the roast marinate in apple cider overnight.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
